Itinerary for our last day in Seoul : Nami Island & Petite France.

Nami Island and Petite France are both in the Gapyeong area. For convenience we took the Gapyeong Tour bus for just 5,000 which brings us around to a few attractions (including the Nami island & Petite France) and we can hop on and off limitless times as long as we’re able to catch the bus timings.

More information about the Gapyeong Tour Bus timing and route can be found here.

Directions :

(By Subway) Take the Subway to Sangbong Station and transfer to the Gyeongchun Line heading to Cheongpyeong Station and then take the Gapyeong Tour Bus at the bus stop located in front of Cheongpyeong Station. Alight at the Namiseom Dock and take the ferry to Namiseom Island.

Seoul Metropolitan Subway Map (here)

(By Shuttle Bus) There is 2 bus stop to board from Seoul to Namiseom Island
1) Insa-dong (Jonggak Station, Subway Line 1, Exit 3): Next to Tapgol Park
2) Jamsil Station (Subway Line 2, Exit 4): In front of Lotte Mart

Wanna try bungee jump?

There is another way to get to Nami Island if you wanna try something more thrilling and special….. you can try the Zip-Wire! ₩38,000 includes the admission to Nami Island and ferry back.

Ok, in the end we chose the old fashion way to get to Nami Island. Haha.

Ice river…… Brrrrr~

Someone just took the ride on the Zip Wire!!! YahhoOoo~

I believe most people knew that Nami Island is famous because of the drama ‘Winter Sonata’ and its beautiful tree lined roads!

This small little island is in the shape of a half moon.

You can get free post cards and post to any country you like at this information centre. But of cause you’ll have to buy the stamps!

Nice stamps for my own souvenir!

Lunch time~! Had our lunch at a country restaurant and they serves really nice local food!

Bibim Naemyun 비빔 냉면 (with Buckwheat Noodles) & Bibimbap 비빔밥 (with Barley Rice).

Gamja Jeon 감자전 (Potato Pancake) and Kimchi Jeon 김치전 (Kimchi Pancake).

Snow carving in progress.

More pictures with the beautiful tree lanes!

My crazy friend planking here.

We had so much fun here taking nice pictures and the snow here seems to be very different from the city. It’s more powdery, fine and dry.

Sucha romantic and beautiful place. I never regret traveling all the way here! Oh well, have to leave Nami Island and move on to Petite France!! =)

Bye Namiseom~

Hi Sophia, finally u found some nice write up and beautiful pics on Nami & Petite France during winter. I’m going over in next few days and was wondering how it’s like and whether things are still business as usual during winter.

I’m planning to visit both Petite France and Nami too. If you would be reading this before my trip, hope that you could share the travelling time and recommended time to leave at each location.

    Thanks a bunch.
